Timeline

  • Winter 2024 to spring 2025
  • Projected completion: May 2025

Overview

The washrooms on the eighth floor of the Henry F. Hall (H) Building are currently being renovated to create universally accessible, gender-inclusive, modern and safe spaces. These renovations are based on research into best practices for inclusive design, as well as feedback from the Concordia community and insights gained from other campus construction projects.

Impacts on Hall 7

Renovations to the H-8 washrooms will require certain areas on the seventh floor of the Hall Building to be walled off or closed during the construction period.

  • The H-7 washrooms will be unavailable from January to April 2025.
  • The seating and dining area near the People's Potato will be walled off from December 2024 to April 2025.
  • The H-7 area with microwaves, vending machines and a fridge will be sectioned off from December 2024 to April 2025.

During this time, H-7 users in need of washroom facilities will be directed to the restrooms on the sixth or ninth floors of the Hall Building. Affected microwaves, vending machines and the fridge will be relocated to another section of the seventh floor.

Alternative washrooms

During the renovation, individuals seeking washroom facilities can use the stairs, elevators or escalators to access restrooms on the sixth or ninth floors. Additionally, individual washrooms are available on the sixth floor.
