J.W. McConnell Building seating and dining area
Completed renovations feature a self-service station with microwaves and sinks, upgraded lighting and decor, and new furniture.
Overview
Room LB-115 on the main floor of the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building has been transformed into a new seating and dining area. The space is now open and operates during the same hours as the Webster Library, providing students, faculty and staff with a convenient spot to take a break and enjoy a meal while working in the library.

Project goal
The newly renovated space provides the Concordia community with a comfortable area to reheat and enjoy their meals. The self-service station is designed similarly to those in rooms H-6 in the Henry F. Hall (H) Building and MB-S2 in the John Molson (MB) Building.
Completed renovations
- A self-service station with a new counter for microwaves, sinks and a waste station.
- A new seating and dining area.
- Updated finishes, paint and ceiling repairs, as well as the restoration of any damaged elements in the existing space.
- Installation of both mobile and fixed furniture.
- Upgraded lighting and decor.
- New vending machines from Food Services.
