Project goals
Concordia and the Greater Montreal communities benefit from a brighter, more modern indoor facility.
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning system
- New ventilation and air conditioning systems improve comfort and temperature levels for the gym's users.
- The systems also enhance player safety by reducing humidity build-up on the court.
Lighting
- LED fixtures improve lighting quality and provide uniform beam spread — the amount of space a light covers from different distances — across the court so it is appropriate for sporting activities.
- Lighting is customizable for events, announcements and entrances.
- New lighting technology significantly reduces maintenance needs.
Bleachers
- Telescopic bleachers offer improved safety, operation, cleaning and usability.
- Concordia's colour scheme and graphics are integrated into the bleachers.
- Bleachers have accessible seating available, as well as numbered seats.
Other features
- New scoreboard and sound system
- Improved acoustics
- Enhanced Wi-Fi coverage
- Additional water fountain and bottle filling station
