CMCI Travel Award

The Centre for Microscopy and Cellular Imaging is pleased to announce the creation of a travel award for users of the CMCI. This award is a grant of up to $500 for trainees to attend workshops or conferences to learn new skills or techniques that can be applied to their project using CMCI infrastructure.

This award is open to postdoctoral fellows (PDFs), MSc and PhD students who are users of the CMCI.

Applications should be submitted 4 weeks before the application deadline for the conference. Awards will be prioritized based on demonstrated need, considering other sources of secured funding and relevance of the workshop to the wider CMCI user base.

Recipients must prepare a report and disseminate what they have learned in a 1hr seminar or hands-on workshop for other users of the CMCI within 2 months of their return. Training materials can be prepared with input from the Operations Manager.

Name and location of the Conference/Workshop
Anticipated learning outcomes
Amount of funding requested
List of other sources of funding that you have secured and/or applied to
