If you need a waste bin, requesting one is now easier than ever!
How it works
- Contact x2400 or email facilities@concordia.ca.
- If any clarifications are needed, we'll contact you and arrange for a site visit if needed.
- Once we're set, we'll confirm your request and provide an estimated delivery date.
Our policies
To help improve your customer experience and to help Concordia align with best practices for waste management, we have implemented the following policies:
- All waste bins must be requested by contacting x2400 or email facilities@concordia.ca.
- Unapproved waste bins and stations will not be serviced by custodians.
- Desk-side trash bins are no longer provided at offices (learn about our Zero Waste Office initiative)
- Wheelie bins cannot be permanently placed in public corridors
- Trash bins must be accompanied by recycling and composting options
What do you need a waste bin for?
Available bins:
Desktop mini-bin
Use this to help you transport waste from your desk to the nearest sorting station. You can use it for all waste, or just reserve it for some types. It's yours to empty and keep clean.

Slim station
Need a waste sorting station? A slim station will help you sort organics, recyclables, and landfill waste. Can be configured with 3 or 4 bins, depending on the waste generated in the area.

Paper basket
Paper waste only. This is a self-service bin that occupants must empty in their nearest central paper recycling bin

Counter-top compost
Don't have space or don't need a whole slim compost bin? We provide a counter-top compost bin as an alternative.

Battery box
Pre-paid shipping box for battery waste in supervised locations.
