Policy Regarding Sexual Violence (PRVPA-3)

Introduction

Sexual discrimination, intimidation, harassment and assault are not tolerated at Concordia. The university is a unique environment that consists of an intellectual community with a responsibility for the discovery, creation and sharing of knowledge. University community members can only fulfill these aspirations if there is a broadly shared commitment to create and safeguard a positive learning, working and living environment in which everyone is free from sexual violence.

Policy overview

Concordia is committed to preventing sexual violence and supporting survivors. The Policy Regarding Sexual Violence (PRVPA-3) outlines the process for anyone who wishes to report, disclose or file a complaint of sexual violence. The Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) provides support and resources to all members of the community who have experienced or been impacted by sexual violence. All members of the community have the responsibility to participate in the mandatory sexual violence awareness and prevention training.
