The Access Centre for Students with Disabilities (ACSD) is committed to promoting equal access to education and an inclusive campus community. The ACSD provides academic and exam accommodations to reduce barriers to participation for students with documented disabilities and engages in community-building to further promote an inclusive environment at Concordia.
Counselling and Psychological Services

Services Offered
Counselling and Psychological Services offers short-term counselling to currently registered Concordia students. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team of licensed mental health practitioners work with students to create a care plan that is tailored to their unique needs and goals and provide referrals to resources at Concordia and in the community.
Zen Dens
The Zen Dens are spaces across each faculty on both campuses, where students can connect with wellness staff and trained student Wellness Ambassadors for peer support and active listening, as well as resources and referrals for holistic health and wellbeing. Additionally, the Zen Dens offer psycho-educational workshops with professionals and interactive activities for mind-body connection.

Health Services is an on-campus clinic and health promotion centre, available to all Concordia students who pay student services fees and employees who receive this benefit through their collective agreements. Our multi-disciplinary staff includes nurses, family physicians, a psychiatrist, and health promotion specialists.
Concordia Council on Student Life
CCSL Governance
The Council is the highest non-academic advisory committee in the University making recommendations regarding the quality of student life. The Council derives its authority from the University Board of Governors, and reports to the Board through the President. CCSL is a parity body that provides support and advice on Student Services programs, policies and budgets, and studies the range of student life on both campuses. The Council also disburses funds for student-led initiatives. The voting membership is composed of 10 students, two faculty members, and eight members of the Student Services staff. The Dean of Students chairs the Council. Its meetings are open to all members of the University community. Finally, CCSL oversees awards for extraordinary contribution to the Concordia community by students, staff and faculty members.
Concordia University Student Parents Centre

The Concordia University Student Parents Centre (CUSP) provides support services, resources, programs and workshops to students who are raising a family so that they can reach their educational goals. CUSP organizes social events throughout the year and offers a safe and accessible space to congregate, study, voice concerns, share interests, and develop a support network. CUSP has its own computer lab, a breastfeeding room, a kitchen, a lounge and kids play area.

The Dean of Students Office supports and promotes all aspects of student life on campus with the objective of developing and deepening a sense of agency amongst students. Student associations and groups are one of the primary means by which students can engage meaningfully in the life of the institution and the greater community. The Dean of Students supports students as they take responsibility for their own collective affairs and provide opportunities for their members to participate in student life including assisting in the development of new student groups. In addition to supporting student groups directly, the Dean of Students has programming that supports student engagement more generally. This includes the LIVE Volunteer Centre, the Co-Curricular Record and capacity building with student groups.

The Equity Office champions diversity within and outside Concordia and works to embed equity in all facets of university life through:
- Intentional action
- Affirming and aligning equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility work and initiatives
- Amplifying marginalized voices
Consultation services
The Equity Office develops, implements and evaluates initiatives advancing equity and accessibility on campus and provides guidance and advice on related issues. This includes creating space for students, faculty and staff with equity and accessibility concerns to consult, seek assistance and explore solutions.
Training programs
Training and education opportunities are offered on topics such as raising equity and accessibility awareness, dispelling misconceptions about how biases, discrimination, power and privilege work in university settings, and applying equitable and accessible approaches in university spaces and activities.
LIVE Centre — Volunteer Resource Centre

The LIVE Centre connects Concordia students with volunteer opportunities on campus, in Montreal and abroad. The Centre helps students to discover the opportunities that best match their interests and career goals. Students can meet with Volunteer Ambassadors to explore volunteer opportunities, learn about strategic volunteering and participate in special events such as workshops and fairs.
Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre

The Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre is a home for all those who wish to celebrate the human spirit in the widest sense of the word. The MfSC uses a pluralistic approach to offer community and services to students who are seeking opportunities for reflection, resources for faith, interfaith engagement and spiritual practice and a calm space to study or relax. Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre staff are also available to meet one-on-one with students and offer a listening ear.
The Loyola Chapel
Located on the Loyola Campus, the Loyola Chapel is an inclusive and vibrant community space, run by the Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre. Students are welcome to visit and inquire about the space for art events, wellness activities, community events, religious ceremonies and self reflection.

Otsenhákta Student Centre

The Otsenhákta Student Centre (OSC) offers support services and resources to First Nations, Métis and Inuit students at Concordia. The Centre is a “home away from home,” where Indigenous students are invited to participate in a variety of cultural activities, academic workshops and social gatherings. There is space dedicated to quiet study, a computer lab, and a lounge where students may relax between classes and interact with their peers. Staff are available to address individual needs, and provide support and encouragement for Indigenous students. First Nations, Métis and Inuit students are invited to register with the OSC to access the abovementioned services.
Note: The term Indigenous refers to the First Peoples whose traditional, ancestral and sacred lands are located in Canada and the United States.
Sexual Assault Resource Centre

The Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) provides education on sexual violence prevention and response to the Concordia community as well as confidential and non‑judgmental support services to Concordia University students, staff and faculty who have been impacted by sexual violence. Support services include crisis intervention, counselling, accompaniment, referrals and a drop-in space. The SARC’s approach to service delivery and prevention is trauma-informed, survivor centred, feminist and intersectional. The SARC’s work is informed by Concordia’s Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Misconduct as well as the requirements under Bill 151 in Quebec.
Student Advocacy Office

The Student Advocacy Office is a support service designed for students to learn about their rights and receive support related to academic and non-academic related issues. Advocates typically help students navigate matters pertaining to the Academic Code of Conduct and the Code of Rights and Responsibilities. Advocates also support students with requests such as readmission, late withdrawals, issues and conflicts with professors, supervisors, and other students. The Student Advocacy Office connects students with the appropriate resources related to their needs. Overall, The Student Advocacy Office is a place for students to know that they have support navigating challenging issues that have impacted their university experience.

Mission
The mission of the Student Success Centre is to engage and empower students to achieve individual, academic and career success. A team of professional staff and trained student employees support students with individual appointments, workshops, groups and mentoring to build their skills, find the resources and opportunities to enhance their program of study and realize and achieve their goals. The Centre also offers two complementary university credit courses for readmitted students under the program title University Skills for Success. Services are offered on both campuses.

The First-Year Experience team helps new students make a successful transition to university by providing a welcoming environment and support throughout the first academic year. Orientation programs, offered twice per year for newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students, provide the opportunity for new students to meet members of the university community and learn about the vast network of support services and university resources aimed at enhancing student success, as well as practical tips, strategies, and techniques to help students meet the demands of university-level study. Welcome Crew mentors (upper-year Concordia students) provide one-on-one support and guidance before the school year starts and throughout their first year. The Welcome Crew also has a drop-in office at both campuses open to all Concordia students seeking information about and access to Concordia services and resources or simply some student-to-student tips on navigating university life. First-year support counselling is also offered to new students who are looking for individual support and guidance in adjusting to life at Concordia in their first year.

Student Learning Services
Student Learning Services offers help to students making the transition to university learning, and to all students who want to improve their learning efficiency. Learning and study skills specialists help students on an individual basis to access and develop academic skills appropriate to their course and discipline, as well as through study skills workshops in-person and online. Peer tutors offer writing assistance, math tutoring, exam prep sessions, and English conversation groups.

Career Services
Career Services within the Student Success Centre include career advising and career counselling, delivered through one-on-one appointments, workshops, events and drop-ins.
Career Advising and Professional Success (CAPS)
Career Advising and Professional Success (CAPS) offers job search assistance, resumé feedback and job interview practice via career advisors, to undergraduate and graduate students. Supports are offered on an individual basis, as well as through workshops and drop-ins. Career fairs and company information sessions are held on a regular basis.
Career Counselling and Educational Transitions (CCET)
The Career Counselling and Educational Transitions team is comprised of career and first-year support counsellors. CCET counsellors are licensed professionals that help students adjust to university, plan their career, and reach life goals. CCET offers confidential sessions to listen to the challenges students encounter in their career journey, explore new paths, and make a plan for the next steps in their journey at university and beyond. Free career testing, one-on-one appointments, drop-ins, and workshops are available to undergraduate and graduate students.
