The inaugural edition of the CSLP Pedagogical Innovation Awards will take place on May 4, 2023, and we are pleased to announce this year’s winners.
In the category of Curriculum Innovation, the prize will be awarded to Lyne Tardif of Service aux Élèves, Centre de Service Scolaire de Montréal. Ms. Tardif founded a program called Un Boîte au Ciel, which developed classroom partnerships between special needs students and engineering students specializing in space technology.
In the category of Technological Innovation, the prize will be awarded to James Feith of St. George's School of Montreal. Mr. Feith developed a new initiative, Storytelling and Video Game Design, that teaches high school students French through the design of a computer-based role-playing game.
Each winner will receive a $1000 prize and will present their work on May 4, followed by discussion of their projects with educational researchers. In addition, with technical assistance from the CSLP, winners will be invited to make a YouTube capsule to showcase their work to other teachers in Quebec.
Congratulations to both Lyne Tardif and James Feith for their excellent work.
