Monetary Economics; Economic Development.

Research interests

Bank cards and financial innovations in the banking industry; Stability of money demand function and monetary policy; Currency and growth of underground economy; Technological change and the health care system; Foreign debt trap of the Third World.

Professional experience

Over 20 years academic advising experience for the Department's undergraduate programs and over 25 years teaching experience in the following courses: Money and Banking (Econ 331), Advanced Monetary Theory (Econ 432); Domestic Economic Policy and Institutions (Econ 318), Intermediate Macroeconomics (Econ 303/304), and Introductory Economics (Econ 201/203).
