Instructions for external candidates

How to apply for a non-academic job on the Concordia Careers website if you are not currently employed by the university.

    Step 1:Create your profile

    • Use your email address to create an account.
    • Upload your resume and complete your profile with the required information.
    • Save your profile.

Step 2:Use "Search Jobs" to find opportunities

To see all the current open positions, simply click on the blue “Search Jobs” button. To filter jobs, type in a key word or use one of the search boxes.

If no current opportunities match your interests, you can use your profile to set up personalized alerts.

    Step 3:Apply for available opportunities

The application process takes a few minutes.  Simply click "Apply," include a cover letter, and, if required, answer any additional questions. Upon submission, you will receive a notification confirming that your application has been successfully received.

    Selection phase

The Concordia Talent team will start reviewing the applications received once the job posting has closed.

Check your email and the "Job Management" section on your profile to monitor the status of your application.

    Step 4:Pre-interview

Candidates selected for an interview will receive an update on their profile along with two notifications:

    1. A request for additional information such as references, a declaration of relationship and copies of relevant diplomas.

    2. A request to select an interview slot. You will be able to select the time slot that best suits you on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that some departments may choose to contact you directly to schedule your interview. In this case, you will receive only the first notification.

    Step 5:Post-interview and pre-employment assessments

If additional interviews are required, you will receive new notifications to schedule the additional interviews.

If you are one of the preferred candidates, the talent team will contact you to schedule any required pre-employment assessments, such as computer and language tests, scenario testing, or fitness for duty.

At this stage, the Talent team will also proceed with verifying the references provided.

    Step 6:Letter of offer

Congratulations! If you've reached this stage, you have been selected for the position you applied for.

The Talent team will be in touch to discuss the offer and any additional details. Consult the guide for more information.

The offer will be uploaded to your candidate profile for you to review and sign.
