Governance

The Concordia University Inter-Generational Fund (CUiF) operates under the guidance of an independent board of directors. This governing body is responsible for upholding the fund’s mission by ensuring ethical governance, sustainable financial management and adherence to investment policies. The board also oversees partner relations and compliance with established guidelines to maintain transparency and accountability.

Governance structure

The board of directors oversees all aspects of the fund’s governance, including strategic direction, financial management and compliance with sustainability and ethical investment policies. The governance structure is supported by key internal policies and committees that ensure responsible decision-making and risk management.

Board of directors

The board of directors is composed of nine to 11 members, including representatives from Concordia leadership and independent members with expertise in finance, investment and governance. The board is responsible for:

  • Setting the fund’s strategic priorities
  • Ensuring financial sustainability and risk management
  • Overseeing ethical investment policies
  • Upholding governance and compliance standards
  • Engaging with partners

The board operates under a charter that defines its roles and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with best practices in financial and non-profit governance.
