Library Sources in Linguistics
This guide lists a selection of the more important sources of information on Linguistics available at Concordia Library. It includes material held in the Webster Library (WEB) on the Sir George Williams Downtown Campus, the Vanier Library (VAN) on the Loyola Campus and/or available online. The IPA is the major as well as the oldest representative organization for phoneticians. It provides the academic community worldwide with a notational standard for the phonetic representation of all languages. This site includes links to other websites on phonetics. - Less Commonly Taught Languages
Includes lists of courses at approximately 2,000 institutions in North America. - Linguist List
Offers many links to Linguistic sites. Covers such topics as: applied linguistics, creoles, computational linguistics, endangered languages, word frequency, metaphor, nonverbal communication, nostratic, translating, etc. - Linguistic Links
