AU Summer University offers 95 English-taught courses by AU lecturers and invited international guest lecturers from all over the world. All teaching at AU Summer University is based on current research and has a strong international perspective.

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to participate in the AU Summer University, you must meet the following criteria.
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (CGPA).
- Completed at a minimum of 24 credits toward your current degree program by the time you leave for the program.
Program dates
Students choose between 1 of 2 terms or can stay for both terms:
- Term 1: July 2, 2025 - July 18, 2025
- Term 2: July 23, 2025 - August 08, 2025
Program courses
All courses 2024 course offerings at AU Summer University is credit bearing. You will be able to receive ECTS credits by attending the course and taking the exam. The portfolio of courses will differ in workload, duration, credits awarded, and level depending on the academic focus area. Concordia students must enrol in a minimum of two 5 ETCS credit courses or one 10 ECTS credit course for each term they attend.
- Students from the Faculty of Arts and Science and the Faculty of Fine Arts must complete and submit a Student Request form to their faculty.
- JMSB students can take teh following course only: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace which will be MANA B.
- You will only be able to attend one course at a time since all courses are intensive courses.
5 ECTS courses have a workload between 125 - 150 hours depending on academic focus area. Teaching takes place between 2-4 weeks with a total number of contact hours between 25-30 of 45 min. depending on preparation time and workload, evaluation format and academic focus area.
10 ECTS courses have a workload between 250 - 300 hours depending on academic focus area. Teaching takes place between 3-4 weeks with a total number of contact hours between 50-60 of 45 min. depending on preparation time and workload, evaluation format and academic focus area.
Estimated cost & bursary
Host institution fee: There is no program fee.
Concordia tuition: 3 (10 ECTS) or 6 (15 ECTS) credits of Concordia tuition to be paid to Concordia University depending on the number of courses taken at Aarhus. For an estimate of tuition fees, please use the Concordia tuition fee calculator.
Additional costs: Participants are responsible for paying their own airfare, meals, spending money, accommodations, books, immigration documents, optional social activities.
Quebec Mobility Bursary
To help with the costs of going abroad, Concordia offers a $1,350 CAD Quebec Mobility Bursary to students participating in Term 1 and a $1,275 CAD Quebec Mobility Bursary to students participating in Term 2.
To qualify, you must be a Concordia student enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree program and approved to participate in the summer school program.
Important to note:
- Summer school program applicants do not need to submit a bursary application as it is part of the on-line summer school program application, and you will automatically be considered for the Quebec Mobility Bursary.
- Approved students will receive the bursary payment upon arrival and reception of the mandatory Confirmation of Arrival form.
- Details on the payment of the bursary will be sent to successful applicants.
