Summer School Abroad Application

Applying to one of Concordia's partner summer school abroad programs is an easy 4 step program. Our on-line application can be accessed at anytime and from anywhere, allowing for flexibility.

How to Apply

1. Submit your application 

1. Prepare your application documents

A complete a Concordia International Partner Summer School Abroad application includes:

  • Copy of unofficial transcript of marks (to be uploaded to online application form)
  • Letter of intent (to be written directly on application form)
  • Copy of passport information page (to be uploaded to online application form)

2. Submit a Student Request form to your faculty

  • Applicants from the Faculty of Arts & Science, the Faculty of Fine Arts and the School of Graduate Studies: Submit a Student Request form to your faculty to ensure that the courses you will take abroad will meet with the academic requirements of your program and that you will receive the credits for the course(s) taken abroad. CLick on the links provided above to consult your faculty's website for the appropriate forms and instructions on how to submit it.

3. Submit your Summer School Abroad application.

For application deadlines, please consult the webpage for the program to which you wish to apply.

2. Accept your placement

If your application is successful, Maral Abajian, Coordinator, Short-Term Programs will send you a nomination email shortly after the application deadline. You must communicate to Maral via e-mail that you are accepting or refusing your place in the program.

 

3. Receive host admission letter

Your host university will send you your official letter of acceptance and other information once they have received your information from Concordia International.

4. Attend mandatory pre-departure orientation

All students participating a summer school abroad program are required to attend a mandatory pre-departure session hosted by Concordia International.

The pre-departure orientation session is a group event to prepare students for their stay abroad. Valuable information not previously discussed is shared during this session. Topics may include information on:

  • course registration
  • tuition charges and payments 
  • culture shock
  • health and travel insurance 
  • medical and money matters 
  • and visas among others
