Leeds International Summer School (LISS) combines world-class tuition and academic field trips with exciting excursions and social events. Choose from a diverse range of academic modules, meet interesting people from around the world and immerse yourself in British culture and society. LISS has a busy social programme to help you make the most of your time in Leeds and the UK. The programme fee includes orientation activities, a farewell social and one full-day excursion per block.

Block 1: Saturday June 29, 2024 - Saturday July 13, 2024
Block 2: Sunday July 14, 2024 - Saturday July 27, 2024
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to participate in the Leeds International Summer School you must meet the following criteria.
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at Concordia.
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (CGPA).
- Completed at a minimum of 24 credits toward your current degree program by the time you leave for the program.
Program courses
LISS runs for four weeks and is made up of two blocks, each lasting two weeks. You’ll study one module per block.
If you’re applying for the full four-week programme, you should select one module from our block 1 modules and one module from our block 2 modules. If you’re applying for the two-week programme, you should select one module from your chosen block.

JMSB students
JMSB students can take the following University of Leeds summer courses from the above-mentioned module blocks.
Block 1 Modules:
- Equity Portfolio Management, equivalent to FINA B (3 credits), exemption from FINA 410.
- Sports Business and Marketing, equivalent to MARK B (3 credits), exemption from MARK 444.
Block 2 Modules:
- Business and Cultural Awareness- Bridging the Gap, equivalent to IBUS B (3credits) with exemption from IBUS 492.
- Ethics for Business and Society, equivalent to MANA B (3 credits)
Credit Transfer
Each module is worth 10 Leeds credits, so by completing the four-week programme, you’ll receive 20 Leeds credits. This is the equivalent to 6 US or 10 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits.

Fees
Full four-week programme: £3,725
Two-week programme (either block one or block two): £2065
The programme fee includes:
- tuition
- accommodation
- breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday
- module field trips
- weekend excursions
- social activities
- The Edge sports centre premium membership (our state-of-the-art indoor sports facility, is included in the LISS programme fee. The Edge has a 250-station fitness suite, a 25m swimming pool, sauna and steam room and more than 70 classes per week.)
Additional costs: Participants are responsible for paying their own airfare, meals, spending money, accommodations, books, immigration documents, optional social activities.
Quebec Mobility Bursary:
Concordia International offers a $ 1125 CDN to students who qualify. For more information on the bursary, visit the Concordia International funding webpage.
Accommodations
As a summer school student, you’ll usually live in on-campus University accommodation such as Charles Morris Hall (Dobree and Whetton Houses), Lyddon Hall, Ellerslie Global Residence or Henry Price Residences.
You’ll have the privacy of your own room and share bathroom, kitchen and dining facilities with other summer school students.
Breakfast and lunch are included from Monday to Friday. The kitchens have cooking facilities, but if you don’t feel like cooking for yourself, there are lots of places to eat on campus and hundreds of cafes and restaurants in the city centre.
