Richard Courtemanche lab tour
The electrode design area. Here we test, prepare, and assemble the headstages that will be used for neuronal recordings. Electrodes used are standard tungsten microelectrodes, microwires, and tetrodes.
The Lafayette behavior apparatus. Permits training of rats in classical or operant conditioning tasks. Is linked to the neurophysiology setup to provide detailed event information about the rat behavior.
The Neuralynx recording system. Stores up to 24 single microelectrodes or 6 tetrodes action potential data, 8 analog channels (EMG, field potentials), and event information
The analysis area. To plot, explore, average, compare, or scrutinize at will. (Also has a nice sound system!)
