Loyola Tree Planting Project
Concordia is undertaking a tree planting initiative that will plant more than 1400 trees on the Loyola Campus in partnership with Soverdi, a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to increase Montreal's urban forest for the benefit of all.

The Univer/City 2023 initiative, the Student Sustainability Ambassadors program, and the Concordia University Centre for Creative Reuse (CUCCR) were all finalists for the International Green Gown Awards, which recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the world.
Concordia achieved the Living Campus certification with WWF-Canada
This certification recognizes our commitment to sustainability, conservation and creating a positive impact on the environment. Certified Living Campuses shine as examples of how post-secondary institutions can play a meaningful role in restoring nature, advancing sustainability and cultivating the next wave of conservation professionals.
