Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating major research initiatives for the Center for the Study of Learning and Performance (“Centre”), a Research Centre funded by the Government of Quebec under the Strategic Cluster program at Concordia University. The successful candidate will write internal and external research grant proposals, liaise with granting agencies when necessary, coordinate administrative staffing requirements, assist in the planning and execution of critical academic networking events, and assist in developing CLSP’s research and knowledge mobilization programming.

Key responsibilities

  • Planning and execution of large-scale research and public outreach initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the Centre’s Co-Directors and staff.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive research grant proposals to both internal and external funding agencies.
  • Coordinate the planning and logistics of academic events, including conferences and seminars.
  • Organize and manage key functions of the Centre, such as Executive and Academic Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Develop and oversee student programming initiatives to support the Centre’s research objectives.
  • Monitor and support the Centre’s public communication strategy in collaboration with the Communications Officer.
  • Other research tasks as outlined by Principal Investigator.

Required qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Education or a closely related field.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English and French.
  • Extensive experience in drafting and submitting successful research grant proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating large-scale research projects.
