Career counselling & advising
Confused about your academic or career path? Need help finding and applying for jobs or internships? Meet with a career counsellor or advisor!
Who should I meet with?
Career counsellor
A career counsellor helps you make choices about your academic and career path based on your strengths, interests and values. They can help you find out what you can do with your degree.
Career advisor
A career advisor helps you with your job search. They can give you tips and resources to help you land the job you want.
Clarify your academic and career path
Career counselling can help you:
- Learn how your strengths, interests and values can influence your career
- Explore what you can do with your major
- Choose the right degree for you
- Plan for next steps in your education
- Address an academic or personal challenge that is affecting your university or career goals
Career exploration is an ongoing process of asking yourself what’s next and planning how you’re going to get there.

Booking appointments
Through the booking portal, select your preferred location to start, and then select “Career Counselling.”
If you are booking a follow-up appointment, we recommend you meet with the same counsellor you last met with.
If no appointments are available, you can browse other locations, attend a Student Service Station drop-in or attend one of our career development workshops!
Career counselling is available to currently enrolled Concordia students and alumni within one year of graduation. Under the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec guidelines, online appointments are only available to students who are in Quebec at the time of their appointment.
You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment by clicking the link in your appointment confirmation email. If you will be late to your appointment, please respond directly to your confirmation email to let the career counsellor know. If you are more than 20 minutes late, we may not proceed with the appointment.
