The following positions are available at the Institute. Other openings can be found on the Faculty of Arts & Science page or on the university's staff positions listings.

Tenure-track positions

There are no open full-time faculty tenure-track positions at this time.

Part-time teaching positions

The listing of courses available for part-time teaching positions at the Institute is posted on Concordia's Faculty Resource Information System (FRIS), during specific periods, in accordance with the Concordia University Part-Time Faculty Association (CUPFA). The deadlines are subject to change.

Visit the CUPFA website for more information about how to apply for posted courses and application deadlines, as well as for the latest deadlines.

If you are a postdoctoral fellows or a graduate students currently enrolled at Concordia, you are not eligible to apply for CUPFA posted courses. You are eligible for Reserve courses, assigned by the Faculty and department. Contact your graduate program director or chair for more information.

Applicants must have a Concordia netname and password. If you do not have one, fill out this form before the deadline.

Please include the following:

  • All sections of the FRIS application
  • Your updated CV
  • A draft course outline and/or a teaching statement

Your draft course outline needs to include the following:

  • the course code and title
  • the semester, date and time
  • a course description
  • the learning objectives
  • texts and readings
  • assignments and evaluation
  • topics and schedule

Teaching assistant positions

TA positions at the Institute are posted during the month prior to the beginning of terms.  Active postings are linked below during the application period and are also found on the FRIS website.

Research assistants and other research positions

These positions are subject to available research funds. Full-time faculty members at the Institute, who are involved in the same research area, should be contacted directly to find out if there are any positions available.

Work-study program positions

Concordia's work-study program facilitates eligible students in securing valuable on-campus employment opportunities. Participants are allowed to engage in work for a maximum of 20 hours per week, with a total cap of 200 hours per term.
