Athletics Complex

The athletics complex (RA) on Concordia's Loyola campus houses our hockey arena, stadium, gymnasium, outdoor playing fields and Stinger Dome.

Ed Meagher Arena

The Ed Meagher Arena is home to Stingers ice hockey, intramurals and community programs. It meets NHL standards.

Rentals

  • Renting a venue: a contract is sent online and payments are processed online using Visa, MasterCard, or Amex. 
  • We require a 50% deposit of the full amount at the issuance of contract. 
  • Full payment is required before the first session.
  • It is the lessees responsibility to respect the public health guidelines for their recreational activities

Gymnasium

At the Concordia gym you can find a pick-up game or join in on some intramural league action: Basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, badminton and more, we got you covered!

SURFACE Hardwood flooring

The rental of the gymnasium is for the use of the space for basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball or badminton.  Other accessories are not included. Floor hockey/Hockey Cosom or inline skating is not allowed in our gym.

Get on pitch and play! There are two large playing fields at Loyola: Sherbooke field (seen above) houses the stadium where our Stingers play, and De Maisonneuve field beside it becomes the Stinger Dome in the winter months.

Our ¼ fields, or “mini-fields” are ideal for 6 or 7 aside sports.

OUTDOOR FIELDS April to Nov., complete playing field
(Sherbrooke field or de Maisonneuve field)
Rates in vigour as of May 1, 2024
7 a.m. to 9 p.m.  $180 per hour (taxes not included)
9 to 11 p.m. with lights $205 per hour (taxes not included)

Sherbrooke field: Contains permanent (fixed) football uprights. Access to 4 smaller 6.5′ x 18.5′ (approx.) soccer training goals and 2 standard 8’ x 24’ game soccer goals.

De Maisonneuve field: Contains 2 permanent (fixed) 8’ x 24’ game soccer goals and access to 4 smaller 6.5′ x 18.5′  (approx.) soccer training goals
