Student ID card
Your Concordia ID is the official campus identification for students. It also gives you access to many on-campus services and discounts!
A student ID card lets you borrow materials from the Library, use on-campus DPrint printers, hop on the shuttle bus, get an Opus reduced-fare transit pass, and more!
Getting your student ID
- Register for at least one course and wait 24 hours.
- Drop by Card Services where staff will take your photo and issue your card within minutes. (We do not accept digital photos.):
At the Sir George William Campus room LB-089.
At the Loyola campus room AD-103.08. you must book an appointment (No walk-ins).
Bring your student ID number and a piece of government-issued photo identification. Without them, we cannot issue your student ID.
Cost
- $13.35 for a new card
- $13.35 to renew a card
- $25 for a replacement card

Your student ID card is not transferable and the person whose name appears on it is responsible for any/all use of the card, including library items borrowed and charges applied.
Please do not share your student ID or the information on it.
If you plan to take public transit
The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) uses your student ID card photo to create your transit pass, the OPUS card. Log into My CU account to submit an OPUS card request 24 hours after you get your student ID. To qualify for an OPUS card, you must have a home address in Quebec saved in your Student Centre and you must be enrolled in full-time studies. Note that wait-listed courses do not count towards enrolment.
If you want to print on campus
Easy printing, scanning, and copying with DPrint,Concordia's printing solution. To start using DPrint, students must have a valid student ID card and add funds to their account. Check out the user guide for the complete instructions.
Use and ownership of the Concordia ID card
- Your Concordia ID card remains the property of Concordia and must be presented to campus authorities upon request.
- Your Concordia ID card is not transferable, and you are responsible for any/all use of the card, including but not limited to library items borrowed and charges applied.
- Using another person’s Concordia ID card, or altering, falsifying, selling or tampering with a Concordia ID card, is prohibited and subject to sanctions, pursuant to Concordia’s policies and procedures, and may also be subject to civil or criminal proceedings.
- You may not use your Concordia ID card to commit or facilitate any illegal, improper, or unlawful purposes or acts or otherwise in a manner that contravenes this Agreement.
How we can help
Here's what to do if you run into any of these situations:
Stop by Card Services for a replacement. Make sure you registered for at least one course and that you did so at least 24 hours ago. We will charge the $13.35 renewal fee directly to your student account.
Please wait until a month before the expiry date, we cannot issue a new ID earlier than that. Then stop by Card Services for a replacement. Make sure you registered for at least one course and that you did so at least 24 hours ago. We will charge the $13.35 renewal fee directly to your student account.

We will charge the $25.00 replacement fee directly to your student account. If you find an ID card please return it to the closest Protection and Prevention desk on campus or to the Card Services office.

Follow the university's name change process, then stop by Card Services with your old card. We will issue you a new student ID free of charge.
The STM still has your photo on file.
Make sure you still qualify, then simply submit an OPUS card request in your My CU Account under Personal.
