Music
New students are not required to obtain advising prior to registration. However, we strongly recommend that you reach out to a Music advisor to review your course selections after you register. Since the registration process is ongoing and dynamic, you can make changes to your course selections even after consulting an advisor.

Students who intend to apply for the graduate Music Therapy program may choose to take 6 credits chosen from:
- 3 credits MUSI 241 or 242 or 243
- 3 credits MUSI 263
- 3 credits ensemble course
- 3 credits MTHY 301 (please contact the Music Therapy program to discuss eligibility for this course)
Students who wish to take private study courses (MPER 251 and/or MPER 252) must contact the Department of Music (514 848-2424 ext 4559) for permission.
Students who have received exemptions from any or all of the basic theory course (MUSI 211, 212, 251 and 252) should select replacements in consultation with a music advisor.
