Get your cameras, lighting, audio recording gear, projectors, laptops, media players and AV playback and presentation equipment in the EV or MB depots.

Equipment pick-ups and returns:

Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m to 7 p.m
The EV depot will be closed as of 7pm December 20th and will reopen January 13th at 8:30am
MB depot
For Performing Arts students only.

Equipment pick-ups and returns:
Fall Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m to 6 p.m
End of Fall term:
December 3rd-13th
Monday to Friday 9 a.m to 5 p.m
The MB depot will be closed as of 5pm December 13th and will reopen January 13th at 8:30am
Guidelines
Access
Access is limited to:
- Undergraduate Fine Arts students who have paid the CDA membership fee
- Fine Arts Graduate students
- Faculty teaching in the current term
- Members of Milieux Institute
- Faculty of Fine Arts employees
Checkouts and reservations
- Checkouts are made in person at EV depot in Room EV-5.770 (presentation of your ID card is mandatory).
- Reservations are made online using the Patron Portal.
- Undergraduate users can have bookings up to 7 days; there is no possibility of renewal
- Graduate users can have bookings up to 14 days; reservations can be renewed once if all items remain available
- There should be a minimum of 7 days between bookings to allow access for other users
- Pick up and return of 5 items or more should be scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Disclaimer: by checking out items from CDA you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of lending. Any loss or damage of the equipment and/or its parts and components is your responsibility all through the lending period (from the moment you pick up the equipment until you return it).
Late fees
- Equipment under $1,000 = $2.50/hour or $25 day/overnight.
- Equipment over $1,000 = $5/hour or $50 day/overnight.
- Laptops and Data Projectors - $5/hour or $300 day/overnight.
Simple rules
- You must be enrolled in a Fine Arts class to borrow equipment.
- Reservations can be made in advance.
- Reservations are made online using the Patron Portal.
- You are fully responsible for the equipment you borrow (replacement upon loss or damage of the whole or part)
- Check the equipment tag and contents before you leave the depot.
- Return the equipment on time. Penalty fees will be applied if you are late.
- Be nice to the gear.
